Stories rooted in quiet places—where the ordinary meets the extraordinary, and a life can change with a single turning.
I used to live in the city—chasing deadlines and deliverables, my heart tuned to urgency. But we moved to an old house on the edge of a field in Alabama, where the woods waited
like an unopened book.
That’s where the stories began.
I write for readers who listen for the whisper beneath the wind—those who long for something quieter, something nearly lost. Whether I’m writing fiction or nonfiction, literary tales or mythic worlds, my work follows the moments when an ordinary life brushes against the extraordinary and comes away changed.
These are stories that walk beside you—slow and steady, like a dog who’s found his way home. Not to where he began, but to where he was meant to be.
I live in Alabama with my wife and our blue tick beagle, River—who once appeared out of the trees, dusty, wild-eyed, and wandering. He didn’t ask anything of me. He just turned, and I followed.
I’ve been following the stories ever since.
